Dear Ann:
I adopted a Sheltie from you in April of 1998 named “Lady Katarina”
“Katie” for short. (She had a long scar on her nose where
a German Shepherd had bitten her…) She passed away last Saturday,
March 31st due to complications with her liver. She almost made it to
fifteen years of age. She was my angel and the light of my life….I
loved her so. I wanted to thank you for helping to bring her into my
life. God Bless the work that you
do…Shelties are the most wonderful dogs.

I have the opportunity to adopt another Sheltie soon…he is 3 years old.
A part of me feels ok about it….I think she would want for me to have
another. I know that the healing process takes time, and it has been
painful. She followed me everywhere around the house so it has been
awful for me not having her on my heels like she always was! Someone
told me that you never get over them, you just get used to them not being
there. I am finding that to be true.
Please keep up your good work.
Missy
