Kaylie & Myla

Myla is doing awesome!  We went to our first dog event last weekend...Sheltie Educational Day put on by the Houston Shetland Sheepdog club.  I learned a lot especially about grooming.  Once I get it down, Myla and Kaylie should be extra beautiful!  Of course, everyone loved Myla and she was such the lady.  I made sure that everyone knew she was from MTSR and how wonderful rescue is.  I wish I had pics to send, but I was so excited about going to this..I went off and left my camera!
 
Myla continues to lose weight.  Last time that she was weighed she was at 23 lbs.  The weight loss has really changed her too.  She loves to go for her daily walk around the neighborhood...with Kaylie, of course.  She can run up and down the fence line too.  Overall, she is just more active and curious about her surroundings.  I can see her true Sheltie self starting to emerge.  It's hard to believe that we haven't even had her 2 months.  It seems like she's always been a part of the family. 
She likes to be right beside me..which I LOVE!
 
Fred and I are checking into some training facilities. We'd like to earn the Canine Good Citizen certificate for Kaylie and Myla.

I thought you'd like to see how I'm spending my rainy morning in Houston. 
My Dad and I are just chilling out right now. 
Later, Mom is taking me to run some errands and we'll be dropping by a
dog event to donate some food for the local rescue groups and the elderly.
 
I'm happy to report that I'm still working on losing my weight. 
That harness just continues to get looser on me.
