This is a progress report on Mandy from a proud momma!  She is doing so well in walking on a leash and we now have made it 1 and 1/2 miles.  She does want her treat at the end!!  When we get a  block from our house, she is ready to run!  The big thing this weekend was her first ride on our boat and she came through that with flying colors.  She had no fear of the movement of the boat when we hit another one's wake and seemed to thoroughly enjoy the ride. Of course, Ribbons can't wait
to go on boat rides and when we mention the word, she is all excited and ready to go! -Arlis

Hi Ann,
 
Just a little note to let you know that everything is going very well with Mandy.  She has not walked a mile yet but getting close.  We see her jumping around with a tennis ball on the deck so we know that she is happy.  We are so grateful that Ribbons and Mandy get along very well.  They both vie for our attention which is normal and we try to treat both equally. 
Mandy is quite pushy when it comes to food!!!  -Arlis

2/16/06 These pictures were taken following a visit to my house for a bath to get Mandy ready for her new home!
She is down to a trim 15 pounds now... and is very comfortable and ready for her new forever home!!

The first picture is from when Mandy arrived at MTSR back in August '05, extremely
overweight at 36-1/2 pounds, the second photo in September '05, the third from October '05...
