Little Cricket and big sister, Ally
Hi Ann,
As you can see from the photos, Cricket is happy and well. Cricket now understands
'sit', 'down',
'come', 'stay' (briefly) and walks nicely on leash--it's amazing how fast
she learned--and at 9 weeks of age!
She has blended nicely with the whole family and our routine. She follows
Ally everywhere; it looks like she tries to nurse.
Cricket has been good for Ally, too; just as I had hoped. Ally laughs more
now that she has someone who can run as fast
as she can, since Mommy and Daddy can rarely catch her. Ally is not reserved
around her anymore,
and even likes to check on Cricket when she is sleeping in her crate. They
play very well together;
they take turns engaging each other in play. We have so much fun watching
the two of them running around with smiles on their faces.
They also have precious tender moments of quiet interaction or eating their
chewies side by side.
Whatever Ally does, Cricket does.
Cricket is fearless. She takes toys, chewies right away from Ally (who is
very patient with her and never aggressive).
Cricket handles situations, noises, etc. without any concern. Kudos indeed
to the original family!! We haven't had ANY of
the problems of socialization that we had with Ally. She runs as fast as Ally
and she hops and jumps around like a ....
I just have to say it....like a CRICKET! She is well named!!!
She will be a fantastic agility dog and pet therapy dog. She is very athletic
and yet very laid back. Thank you, thank you, thank you
for this precious furball of neverending joy. I am already dreading the day
my vacation ends and I have to go to work and leave my girls at home.
