Dear Ann,

Here's an update on Heidi! Heidi has two sisters and one brother, Karleigh 13, Olivia 8 and Leo 2. 
They love to play with her and brush her beautiful hair. Leo likes to chase her around the house (smile).

We knew about Heidi and her hypothyroidism when we got her,
but she began to have seizures shortly after we had her home. 
She went to the doctor and after blood work to check her heart, kidneys, liver etc, it was diagnosed as Epilepsy.
So after a trial period with medications and doses, she is seizure free. 
She is like another child to us, so all we wanted to do was care for her the best we could.
The doctor said that this could never have been foreseen,
and may have to do with her age since we really have no idea how old she is.
 
Her sisters want to make her a stocking to hang on the fireplace with all the rest this year,
and she and her cousin Millie (a Boston terrier) are going to exchange Christmas gifts. 
She is a snuggler and loves to be with you wherever you go,
she follows me around the house all day, and kisses constantly. 
She is such a wonderful addition to our family, it is like she has been with us her entire life.
She is very loved!!!!!
 
We have decided her birthday will be on May 6,
to celebrate the day she joined our home since we really don't know when she was born.
 
I will send some other pictures from Christmas.  I am going to try to find her a Santa hat small enough for her!
