Sandy & Belle
Updated Sept 2005 (original story following this update)

Ann,
When you asked about the girls, I just couldn't resist sending you some pictures of them.
Sandy is so photogenic we never have a hard time getting a great picture of her.
Belle, on the other hand, is like an elusive fairy - you just have to capture her when she is not looking
otherwise she will lay back her ears and look pitiful in the picture!

The outdoor picture was taken down on the riverwalk on Mother's Day Sunday.
Both girls loved it and loved all the attention they got from all the walkers.

Our daughter got to see the girls for the first time when she came home from England in March.
She was so worried they wouldn't take to her. As you can see from the picture, it was love at
first sight on the part of all three. Sherah would spend the mornings reading for her phd
or watching a little TV from the bed in our bedroom while we were at work
and Sandy and Belle kept her company.

They are the light of our lives - I am so thankful we have them both. I can't imagine life without Sandy,
who turned 11 this summer. She is so smart and has more personality than any dog I have ever owned.
She talks to us - and we have learned that when Sandy barks we best pay attention because something
is amiss (even if it just means that it is 6:15 and we normally give them supper at 6 - she is alerting us!)
She is a treasure.

Belle is our baby - still loves to be held (on her back, of course, so her tummy can be rubbed).
She follows me around like a small child.

Thanks again, Ann
Debbie
